Back in Italy

Well the train ride turned into about 15 hours instead of 10 hours haha. See when you get into Ukraine from Hungary of course you have to go through border control but they throw in a twist. Back when Ukraine was part of the Soviet Union they had to have the same rail roads tracks as the USSR well the rest of Europe didnt have these because the USSR used this as a defense from being invaded during there Communist days. So the tracks are wider, well you asking what happen then new train? Heck no... probable would be a lot easier, but they actually lift your car in the air about 10 feet or so then switch the wheels from the EU size to the old USSR size, it was crazy. The train was so hot when it would stop somewhere because they would turn off the air and with two men in the cabin it got pretty hot fast haha but the overall experience was fun because I had never been on a train before well besides Dolly Wood haha!

The reason we went back to the Ukraine was that we had to debrief and give a short presentation on our experience and of course we had to fly out of Kiev. The last 24 hours was packed with traveling. Going from Hungary on a train for 15 hours then a 4 hour car ride, sleep for the night then leave for Kiev another 5 hours, catch the plane to Rome 2 hours and a half, then from Rome to Mullion another 50Min, THEN another hours drive. So CRAZY so we were dead tired. We have today off to relax and just hang out for a little while.

The overall experience in Eastern Europe shows me how truly blessed I am and how blessed people I know are. It really is hard over there especially in the Ukraine because of how much of a presents the Communist party still is there, its actually a little scary. The people are cold and are hard to open to, but its because of there past and their looks on Westerners. But it was great to go there with this trip I have gotten a new lease on life with baseball I feel. The kids when they play baseball showed me that baseball is fun and should be fun. The last few years with Injures and being put up on the shelf its been hard to love baseball the game that has gave me so much, but that's about to change!
